My first grade DC has been asking to read the biography of Queen Elizabeth I, King Henry and famous inventors. She is an advanced reader and has been reading Grade 4-5 lately. I am just wondering whether anyone know of good books on those subjects that are also age appropriate.

TIA!

Has she read the Dear America and Royal Diaries series? They are fictionalized autobiographical stories about early Americans (DA) and famous women (RD) around the world.

My older DD to enjoyed these immensely.

ETA: They are aimed at grades 4+ so some of the subjects dealt with might be glossed over in a biography aimed at younger readers. Things like arranged marriages, death in childbirth, royal families plotting against each other, etc. All of these topics are dealt with.
