Barnes and Noble $2 clearance has started

In-store. YMMV of course, but I stopped in this morning and the sign still said 75% off but everything rang up at $2.

The crazy thing is that little things that should be less than $2 still ring up at $2. I passed on a bookmark and some more of those little zipper charms and ran back for the big stuff! They still had an Alex play kitchen, an iPad game board, a bunch of Hape stuff and some Kreo transformer things.

They've had several tables with items that are 75% off. Eventually it goes to $2, which is obviously a great deal on the larger items but not such a good deal on smaller stuff. Things usually go fast when the $2 clearance starts - in fact this is the first time I've gotten anything much, usually I swear the employees snatch up everything good before the store opens.

I was wondering about the tiny stuff. That's annoying that they marked them back up to make it an even $2 for each item.

Yup! It doesn't make sense but that's why I usually buy the smaller stuff at 75% off and wait for most of the bigger items to go down to $2.

Went to 2 stores. Nothing left at either one. Glad I bought at 75% off!
