On day 2161 of parenting her...

my daughter became legally free for adoption.

What's that mean? I have to argue with the state to see what kind of assistance they will provide for child support. I have to pick a lawyer to file the paperwork. And then I have to stand in front of the judge and say, "Yes, I will raise her as if she was born to me."

We're thisclose to being adopted!
