Hearing protection for lawn mowing?

Do you wear headphones or use earplugs? If so, any brand or model recommendations? I just read an article about hearing loss from loud tools like lawn mowers and trimmers but it didn't get into much detail on ways to avoid damage.

DH wears ear plugs.

We have a small lawn. I use a reel mower with no motor. No noise at all. :)

Ha! I used one at our last house but I don't think that would be enough for this yard. But that could be the workout I've been searching for... :p

I make DH wear similar ear protection. I think it's a good idea!

Everyone on our street who does their own mowing uses headphones like the ones in the OP. If we were doing our own yard with a power mower, I'd go for those over ear plugs.

DH wears head phone style ear protectors. You can get them at any hardware store pretty inexpensively.

He likes listening to sports talk radio or a baseball game while mowing.

I also make him wear eye protection while doing the trimming.

DH wears ear plus. For vacuuming, we wear a pr of his shooting ear muff things. A lot of ppl, esp men have hearing loss due to power tools and lawnmowers, etc.. I kind of lumb vacuuming into that category.
