This is what I'd LOVE to have.
I like that its metal and that it has the pull-out baskets.
But, I don't like the price tag!!
Anyone ever see anything similar to this for cheaper?
Thanks!

The only thing that comes to mind is the Elfa garage pieces from Container Store but not sure they'd be any cheaper. I know they have pull out baskets like that.

What about just getting a shelving unit and putting plastic baskets or totes on it to keep loose items? I know it's not ask convenient but would be much cheaper.

The other thing you could look at would be the Rubbermaid FastTrack garage series. They have a vertical ball rack, wire baskets, shelves and all kinds of other things.

We use both of the above in our garage and it works out well. HTH

I'm not sure this is helpful, but Rubbermaid has new containers with clear fronts that flip down. You can stack them and get things out of the bottom container without moving the top containers.

That shelf looks similar to the ones they sell at Costco for $85 (but with shelves instead of pullout bins). http://www.costco.com/Alera-Wire-Shelving-4-Shelves-48%22-x-18%22-x-72%22-Black-ALE-SW604818BA.product.11675553.html We have these shelves from Costco and they kick @ss. As another PP suggested, you may want to consider buying baskets/buckets/bins separately and putting them on shelves.

**I see the do sell the pullout wire bins on amazon, but they are a smaller width. I bet if you look hard enough you could find wider ones. http://www.amazon.com/Alera-SW59WB1818SR-Sliding-Basket-Shelving/dp/B001PMHUP0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368893868&sr=8-1&keywords=alera+wire+basket These look like they hang on the existing shelves.

My plan is to use the wire racks posted above with some of the cheap laundry baskets from amazon. I got a 12 pack delivered for $48 recently http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BDTEQA/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

oohhh...i like this! this would work and is $100 cheaper. i'll have to run this by DH.

I thought about the regular wire shelving with bins, but i know the bins will get so dirty inside, you know. that's why i liked the wire racks.

We have a closetmaid (selectives??) closet system from hone depot that has wire drawers like that. I'm not sure if the have metal shelf systems in that product range (ours is wood/mdf) but it could probably still work. You'd have to mount the system to the wall with L brackets like you'd do a bookcase since you wouldn't be using the rod for stability but it's a decent quality and you can customize exactly what you need, not to mention it's way cheaper.

Here's one that doesn't pull out. They have it with wheels and without
