Looking for heavier weight black cardigan or jacket

I know it's summer, but I'll need it for a trip to Australia where it's winter. It doesn't' have to be winter weight ala Chicago, but I want heavier than a summer cardigan/jacket. It can be more casual, but I don't want a hoodie either.

Love the Patagonia Better Sweater. Nicer looking than a fleece, warm and cozy. There is also a jacket version which is a bit dressier looking. I suspect in your climate you will get a lot of use from it:

DS has this in blue. I'll try it. Patagonia/REI also have lighter weight jackets and I do need a new lighter jacket. I'll try a few.
