I would like sometime to carry around my bajillion cards, that will fit into a very slim and lightweight purse. What do you use?

I have tried a hardsided case, but I don't like not being able to see the cards.

I have tried the "use a hole punch and put all your cards on a keyring" method, which is fine for grocery store cards, but it's not really appropriate for credit cards.

I like the Metro Slide Credit Card Case, which has slots on both sides. Only problem is, it's $62:

Is there a cheap but good alternative?

Lodis has some in similar style for about $40. I have one not in the style you posted that I am currently using for all of the gift cards in my purse.

I use something similar to this except mine looks like black leather. I'm sure I didn't spend more than $10 on it (and probably less since I'm not sure it's real). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-40s-50s-Black-Satin-Kiss-Lock-Coin-Change-Purse-Unused-Exlent-Cond-/390602802268?pt=Wallet&hash=item5af1bdc45c

I flip through the cards, keeping the ones I use the most near the front.

There used to be one of these at Target. I actually saw a thread on here about it and went out to find one for myself. Maybe $10.

This is what I use for all my random gift cards and reward cards.

It doesn't meet your criteria that you can see the cards though.
Thought I would show you anyway since it's cute.

I picked a particular fabric from her store and she made it using
that fabric.

I have the Target version of that ($7-8, I think), but it only has that many slots on one side. The other side has one window pocket for an ID, and there's a zipper pocket in the center. I keep my credit cards, ID, insurance cards in the slots and my cash folded over in the center pocket. I took the rest of my misc. cards (store cards, etc.) and punched a hole in the corners, then I looped a small (3") length of ball chain (you know, the kind of chain that's made up of little balls, with a metal clasp that hooks onto both ends to tie it together) through the holes and I just toss that in the bottom of my purse. I was just sick of carrying around my big heavy leather wallet (even though I love it, it's just too heavy to carry all the time). The cards themselves weigh very little, and won't be damaged by living loose in my purse.

This is not at all what you asked for. It is big and bulky. And it goes in my big purse. But I do love it and it's organization!

I've seen that wallet at TJ Maxx! Have you looked there? Stock varies by location and season, of course, but I always try to check out the wallet section when I go for gems like this! ;) That's where I bought my Hobo Euro Slide (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/hobo-euro-slide-credit-card-case/3083258) about a year ago and I looooove it. :heartbeat: I'm glad I didn't pay retail, but it's seriously worth every penny!

Otherwise, I use this business card book (http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10027319&N) from The Container Store for all of my extraneous shopper cards & gift cards, thanks to Alejandra's video (http://youtu.be/h7eKQN_aVmQ). Like her, I love that I can flip through the pages and actually SEE every card. There isn't a clasp/closure for it, which is kind of a bummer, but I solved that problem by buying a pretty file rubberband from Target (http://www.target.com/p/rubber-band-3-ct-red-up-up/-/A-14157865).
