One of my good friends drove down with her husband and DD to OK to help out with relief efforts (and go to the Relief Concert Wed night-they used to live in OK).
She's been tweeting their happenings and today reported that apparently scammers were showing up at relief stations and taking the free diapers/wipes that were being given away and returning them to Walmart for cash....so now they are removing all barcodes from the boxes...it's unbelievable the extent to which bad people will resort to!
My friend said when they have been helping families the best part has been when they've been able to locate the occasional family photograph or treasured item in the rubble.
They have also been tweeting the good deeds of many of the companies like Lowe's, who are helping out.
