This is for our upstairs hall bath - mainly used by the kids, but also shared with overnight guests. We have white subway tile going halfway up the walls, and a black vanity/sink.

I have these bath mats http://www.showercurtainsetc.com/saturday-knight-butterfly-garden-bathmat.html

And just got this shower curtain http://www.target.com/p/threshold-grid-shower-curtain-green/-/A-14238988#?lnk=sc_qi_detaillink

What color would you paint the walls, above the subway tile and around the vanity? I love the kelly green/pink combo for the curtains and rugs, but no idea what wall color goes with that...

I am NOT a decorator, but I think a green would look nice.

I would be inclined to go with a soft green or maybe a green/gray type color. I'm thinking SW Ancient Marble. Depending on decor it looks gray or green. We have it in our kitchen and basement. No one believes me that it is the same color because it looks green in the basement and gray in the kitchen.

With those colors I would do a warm neutral in a taupe. Something like BM Revere Pewter or SW Kilim Beige. SW Ramie has a slight green to it.

I agree with this. It will be a somewhat neutral to balance the bold colors of the shower curtain and rug.

I am completely obsessed with that pattern from Target on the shower curtain. I have curtains in two colors and a shower curtain in another color. :)

Thanks all!! My hallway is actually Revere Pewter, and just looked up Ancient Marble as well (looks great!).

I love the pattern too. I am using one as a regular shower curtain, and making cafe curtains with another one!

I would definitely do something on the SW Kilim Beige card. Your accessories will visually stand out with a neutral background like those colors.

I'd avoid a colored wall because your bright accessories, will just disappear.

:yeahthat: I'd go more towards the Kilim Beige.

And my standard advice, meant to save you from painting the same bathroom four times in two weeks, paint a biiiiig sample board and check it in all lights before painting the room.

My first thought was a bright grey, like Gray Owl (I think it's BM paint).

What about Benjamin Moore Icicle (http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/icicle) or BM Rich Cream (http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/richcream)? I think something creamy that matches the creamy colors in the rug and the shower curtain would be great.
