View Full Version : Can you be a runner if your cups are too full?

I'm desperate to make some progress on losing way too much baby weight. It fell off after DS but this time around even with EBF no luck. I've seen a lot of posts about the couch to 5k programs and I was thinking about trying it. But I'm very large chested and avoid even jumping jacks because of the severe bounce. I am wearing the best sports bras I can find using Breakoutbras.com because there's nothing in my size locally (I'm a 34HH). So I've always avoided running but is that just an excuse? Can you be a runner when your cups are too full?

Which bra do you have?

I think it's possible for you to be a runner. Finding the right bra (with the right fit) is key.

IDK if this is an option for you. I am, "only" a DD (which I know seems little compared to you) and I wear two sports bras to get the right amt of support.

I don't have this problem, but with the right sports bra you can. Try Title 9 or Lululemon. Both seem to have some great options for the full chested runner.

Yes. I'm a little bigger than you. I love elomi energize bras. I ordered from breakout bras.

This is my take on it too. I find running for any significant length of time uncomfortable. What about swimming or maybe aerobics/zumba?

I'm an F, and found some good options at Nordstroms. Not cheap though, by any means! I did not have problems running, with my boobs anyway....

I run in 2 bras also. This under:

I wear a Moving Comfort Maia over the top.

Cant tell you how many people have told me I shouldn't have to wear 2 bras, what can I say it works!

I'm so far on the other end of the spectrum - so take this with a grain of salt. All of my larger chested friends wear 2 bras when they run. It might be an option??

I have not found a bra that gives me adequate support to run more than a slow jog. At which point, honestly, I may just walk very fast instead and save myself the pain.

I tried all the Enell and Anita bras that are recc'd but they still didn't do the trick. I'm a 38 H now and was a 36 G/H when I was last shopping for a bra to run in.

I am a 36DD while nursing, and I recently started running again after a loooooong break (~10 years). I have to wear 2 bras. I never needed 2 in my pre-kiddos state.

I've worn Enell. I've done two bras. No option would allow me to run.

I'm only comfortable jogging... anything more than that is just too much (I'm a 38G or H). I find that it's a lot of stress on my back and neck.

I don't enjoy running, but I will run sprints as a HIIT workout and I'm fine with a good bra. I'm a 36F.

Bounce by Title 9. The catalogue is amazing. Swimming is also great, but you might find you have to wear a sports bra under you tight fitting lap suit.
