I am a babywearer here in NYC and it's my lifesaver with two children. I've noticed that Boba has come out with a lighter version called the Boba Air. Has anyone tried it? I currently use a Becco Butterfly II, but it's getting really hot in our area. I was wondering if it would fit similarly.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It has no padding and I believe is nylon. I've read it isn't for long term wearing(like all day) but great for a diaper bag or car for times you just need a carrier for a little while.

I tried it and found it horrifically uncomfortable so I returned it. It is all nylon, no padding at all. I will say that im not a major babysearer, so maybe If you're more used to it it would be more comfy?

I had a Beco Butterfly II too and just got the new Soleil. I also have an Ergo Performance that I use for hotter weather. It doesn't come up as high in the back of the child and I find it breathes better.

Yes, the "air" part refers to its packability, not its coolness factor.

If you want a cooler carrier, look for a single-layer linen ring sling or a Connecta Solarweave.

Or just dress baby & yourself lightly and use your regular carrier.
