View Full Version : IEP to MVPitcher. Total Brag.
Ds, about to turn ten, just finished his first season of Little League baseball. (He had previously played one summer of coach pitch parks and rec ball).
He was the starting pitcher for all but two games and struck out 68 of 84 batters he faced. His coach gave him the most valuable pitcher award this evening. This is particularly amazing to me because when he was five, his IEP included teaching him to play catch. A couple of years ago he got interested in baseball and through sheer determination he has made himself into a good ball player. I am so proud of him.

Woo hoo! :cheerleader1: I can see why you're proud!
Thanks you all! I feel like I can't run around saying, he couldn't even play catch to people IRL so they don't quite get how amazing this is. Which is also amazing to me, that people take it as expected that my kid can not only make it on a sports team, but excel. And this is all him. We have helped here and there, but it has been totally his choice and totally his dedication to practicing.
