I got a quote from someone to install this swingset http://www.costco.com/Gorilla%C2%AE-Playsets-Laredo-Playset---Do-It-Yourself.product.100028323.html?catalogId=10701&keyword=gorilla+laredo&langId=-1&storeId=10301 for $375. It would take DH forever (he's been sanding and staining the table my grandparents gave me since Oct and it still is not done) and we'd probably have to pay my brother (16) to help him anyway. Would you pay or make DH do it?

I'd pay...that way I would know it was done correctly. Oh and my DH is the biggest procrastinator!

I was the same way. Knew we could do it, but would take forever. Paid a guy $300 and he had it all set up and ready to go in about 9-10 hours...he worked alone. So worth it. It was ready faster, and saved my marriage from Many arguments!

I think that's a good price to install that swingset.

I'd pay to have it installed. Well worth it for a swing set that size.

I would totally pay, and we did. I'm happy to have the peace of mind that it was done right, and that it got done at all!

Having installed a much smaller version of that with my Dh just last summer, I'd say that's absolutely a fair price. It will definitely take even a professional some time. I'd do it if you can swing it.

I'd pay if he isn't quick to finish projects. My DH took two solid weekends and evenings during the week to assemble a similar swing set. It was a BIG job.

DH and his dad worked for 10+ hours on this thing (and they are both handy), I'd pay! Maybe the guy can do the picnic table too :)

We have a smaller play set from Costco. It comes in a bazillion pieces. Definitely pay to have it done, unless your DH is super handy & interested in doing it. But it sounds like he's not.

Pay!

We hired someone last year to build ours and it was worth every penny!!! The guy who built ours had built over a dozen of the same sets and knew of any quirks it might have (like having a high percent chance of the rope ladder in the box being too small and needing to contact the company for a replacement).

We paid $345 for our Lifetime Big Stuff Adventure Play set to be put together.
