I am looking for a pair of yellow wedge sandals to wear with several maxi skirts and "regular" skirts in my wardrobe. I didn't know yellow would be so hard to find! Seems like I saw them everywhere until I actually needed them.

So these are the two options I've come up with so far:
http://www.dsw.com/shoe/b.o.c+fiore+wedge+sandal?prodId=267818&category=dsw11cat260004&activeCats=cat10006,cat20034,dsw11cat260004

The b.o.c ones are probably the closest to what I had in mind (actual sandal with a back strap vs. flip-flop style), but I read on a blog somewhere that adding flowers to shoes to dress them up makes them old-lady. Any thoughts? Are they old lady?

If anyone has any other ideas, let me know. I do want a heel of some sort (not crazy high though)- I need it with the maxi skirts so they're not dragging on the ground. I need them for next weekend, so they have to be available at a B&M store, or a site with fairly quick shipping.

I like the first better, I don't dig the shiny buckle on #2. Although with maxi skirts I tend to like a lower heel (I'm tall). I like these too:

Hmmmm. Yellow is tricky. Personally I would pick the BOCs, but I'm pale. Shiny yellow looks great against darker skin tones.

I like the first pair.

If you can find these in your size somewhere or in-store they are super comfy! I tried them on after continuously reading about them in a blog I follow but didn't buy them just bc I know I wouldn't wear them. There are several colors too.

Ooooo babymakes3- those are pretty much exactly what I want. Unfortunately I can't seem to find them in my size.

I think the ones TwinFoxes posted are nice, and I agree that maxi skirts look good with lower heels.

However, if you're looking for a higher heel option, what about these? http://www.6pm.com/sam-edelman-arianna-citron-yellow-suede They remind me of a pair of uggs that I have and wear all the time.

Somehow I glossed right over the ones TwinFoxes posted, but now that I see them, I really like them. They're a bit more than I want to spend, though, so I'm trying to talk myself out of them lol.

I like the ones you found, mommylamb, except for the heel part. Are the ones you have like that? I can't help but wonder if the indentation would make them less stable? They look "tippy" to me.

I agree. Those are SUPER cute.

I like the first of the OP's choices better. I just hate the look of the single strap up from the big toe: uncomfy and often unflattering.

I also wear my maxi dresses with flip flops (reefs) b/c I'm 5'7 and a small...they usually don't make them very long in that size.

Another option I stumbled upon. I have a 40% off coupon that I could use, which would put them in my comfort zone price-wise. What does anyone think of these?

The Uggs that I have that look similar are these: http://www.6pm.com/ugg-hazel-ii-marshmallow They look similar, but don't have that indentation. I bet that wouldn't make them hard to walk in though. At least, no harder than high wedge shoes are to begin with.

Funny... I just bought these in black today with that 40% coupon.

I like the shoe itself, but I don't think that's the best yellow. But I think that would look bad against my skin, so maybe I'm biased. I do love the champagne color!

Sorry the ones I found were $$. If I see them on sale I'll let you know. :)

I really like the ones posted by Babymakes3 with the banana republic sandals a close second.

I too, am short and need a little heel when wearing maxi dresses.
