When I got married it seemed like there was a lot of options- but the few places I've looked now hardly have any at this price point. Anyone have any ideas on where to look??

I was a bridesmaid in September and I got my dress at David's Bridal. I was just surprised that I had to order it. Having said that, it was pretty inexpensive. We had to wear satin and they had a lot of options.

My cousin got married in November and ended up finding dresses at J.Crew, of all places, for under $100.

Do you have a Dressbarn near you?

I got my wedding dress (very simple and also available in other colors as a bridesmaid dress) for less than $200 at Davids Bridal last year, and my MOH got hers there for around $100 after I picked a color and let her pick the dress. Not the world's highest quality, but it's something that needs to look good one day, not something that needs to hold up well with repeated wear.

David's Bridal was the first thing that came to my mind. I've had a couple of bridesmaid dresses from there and didn't think the quality was that different from pricier gowns I'd worn. And since I have never ever worn a bridesmaid dress again (aside from Halloween) I would rather not spend more than I have to on a one-timer.

Ann Taylor has a selection, most ranging between $150-$250...since they have frequent sales, I imagine you could get some of the $250ish dresses at 20-30% off if you shop at the right time.

Yes, the Target line is new this spring and ITA the dresses look super-cute! The collection is called "TEVOLIO":

Anyway, David's Bridal is another resource, but they run small & if you need it tailored, I highly recommend using a different seamstress/tailor rather than their in-store staff. My sister had to get (prom) dresses altered at David's Bridal in high school and she found that the alterations cost her more than the dress had!

when my bff got remarried a couple years ago, she had me get a dress from this site, which has a MILLION dress options:

I did have to get it altered somewhere locally (i'm petite).

Ann Taylor has had several 50% off sales, making their bridesmaid collection quite affordable.

Yes, Target does have a line. I noticed what must have been online returns to our local target that were bridesmaid gowns and I thought that they were cute (tea length). When I got married, my bridesmaid ordered gowns from chadwicks and it was less than a $100 per dress and they looked like bridesgown dresses, not just something just off the rack from some random store. I think you would be surprised if you check more closely. I got a Dessy bridesmaid gown 3.5 yrs ago when I was MOH and it was surprisingly affordable and not one of those dresses meant for a 20 yr old that is a size 2. It was a dress that still looked nice, but didn't have a super low back line, which was a problem I kept running into when shopping for a MOH gown at the age of 36 and a mom of 3 (DS3 was only 4 wks old when I stood for my friend's wedding!). It was $110 per gown. I searched online to find a suitable style and then called around until I got the best quote from one of the bridal shops and also had the different bridesmaids (in two different cities), find a shop in their area that had that dress to try it on to get their opinion and sizing.

What about renting dresses from Rent the Runway? I've had nothing but great experiences from there.

J Crew has bridesmaid dresses - looks there are several on sale now for less that $200. I wore a short dress of theirs a few years ago when i was a maid of honor and have worn it 2x since then as a wedding guest. It was under $200.

The ones from my wedding came from Chadwick's. I think they were less than $100.

The MOH dress I just wore last month came from Alfred Angelo. It was $199. Strapless, floor length and intricate detail.

It was this one in cherry: http://www.alfredangelo.com/collections/productdisplay.aspx?productID=cf52e04a-1d87-42be-8985-b016893ba9cd&categoryID=772f03c9-de43-4942-bfa0-da77e21ebd65&pg=0&colorId1=

You have to order the dress so be aware.

Another recommendation for Ann Taylor (especially if you can wait for a sale; they have 40% or 50% off dresses frequently). I find their dresses to be elegant and high-quality.

Right now, they're having 40% off sale dresses/skirts (http://www.anntaylor.com/ann/catalog/categorySale.jsp?trail=&pageSize=101&gridSize=md&catid=cata000047&goToPage=1&viewAll=viewAll&fRequest=), no code needed.

I second (third, fourth?) Ann Taylor!!! Good quality dresses, great prices on sale! The biggest challenge is finding everyone's sizes if you want all the bridesmaids in the same dress.

Also love the jcrew dresses, which (when on sale) are totally under $200.

I used Netbride.com. They were about HALF the price of the dresses I wanted from the bridal salons nearby. It was a great deal. I got the "salon" bridesmaid dresses for $100/ea. We had a great experience, but I got married in 2003 so no comment on current. I pulled it up though to see if it still existed and it got a nod from theknot.com in 2010 so hopefully still good.

Most of the Monique Lhullier dresses at Nordstrom's are below that price point, and they tend to go on sale halfway through the summer if you are shopping for wedding after than.
