Garage door openers

We will be replacing our motorized garage door. It currently works fine, but is extremely loud and the room over the garage will be the baby's room. What is the difference between a chain drive, a belt drive, and a screw drive (not sure if that is the right term) other than the fact that they are driven by a chain, belt, and screw (?). Is one more quiet than the other?

Not sure about the screw drive, but we just recently switched to a belt drive from a chain drive. The belt drive is MUCH quiter. I didn't realize how much I relied on the old garage door opener letting me know when someone was home. I have had the bejeezus scared out of me couple of times when DH or one of the kids just popped in and I didn't realize they had gotten home. THe one drawback is that I have heard that the belt drives are not as durable as the chain drives.
