My dad is in the hospital and I'm really worried about him. He went to the ER Sunday having a hard time getting a full breath and breathing was painful. They monitored him, ran some tests and admitted him even though they couldn't pinpoint what the issue was. He is now being transferred to a near by hospital so that they can do a heart catheter and pace maker. I really really really wanted him to transfer to a different hospital - top in the country for cardiac unit - but he went with where his doctor wanted to transfer him. He's in a lot of pain so not in a position to advocate for himself and his wife can't put the wine aside long enough to advocate either. I'm going to go visit once DH gets home from work and it just isn't soon enough. Please send my dad some P&PT if you can spare it.
Small update - they did a procedure today and didn't see any blockage. When I saw him last night, he was in pain and they have been managing it with morphine. He just seemed really tired. His wife texted me earlier that they are trying some medication to regulate his heart beat and he could come home as early as tomorrow, which I really don't get. I just have this nagging feeling they are missing it...
