As opposed to the overpriced Teavana, any online tea shop recommendations? I love to brew flavored teas to ice for summer, thanks!

I'll be watching this thread. I'm looking for the same thing.

Yes, I think Upton tea is the very best online tea company.

We order from Upton Tea (http://www.uptontea.com) regularly. My favorite is Java Bop for daily hot tea, but I think we usually use Russian Caravan for iced tea. Waiting for my husband to confirm.

This thread has reminded me just how much I love their tea and that I haven't ordered from them in a while... I drink their Assams and In addition, I think the Java one you mentioned for iced tea. The quality of the tea can't be beat, IMO.

Their catalog is fun to read too-- go on their website and order a free one. Very educational, too.

David's Tea (http://www.davidstea.com/) is the big thing with most of my friends right now. They have an amazing selection. I don't order online because they're based here in Montreal and have a number of stores, but they look like they have a significant online presence as well.

I order Ginger Peach Loose Tea from Republic of tea. Each month they send you one sample bag to try, we have tried some great teas that way. Often you can find free shipping online, the bulk tea prices are very reasonable. I have been ordering from them for almost 3 years now.

I've been ordering from Harney and Sons. They have lots to choose from and I love the Hot Cinnamon tea.

Can anyone suggest a good one for iced tea for kids? I don't give them juice often and they like to try different flavors of tea.

The fruity zinger teas from Celestial Seasonings can be pretty good iced for kids. TJs used to carry an amazing orange rooibos tea that was awesome iced for kids, but it has been discontinued for years now :(

I buy bulk teas from Frontier (have a buying club with friends), and we've been on a kick of making mint tea and adding lots of sliced oranges. I also squeeze in some of the juice from the oranges. Our fav Lebanese restaurant serves something similar, so we just replicate at home. A huge bag of loose mint tea is ridiculously cheap through Frontier on the wholesale site. 7 to 10 bucks for a full pound of loose leaves.

I order herbs from www.mountainroseherbs.com. The shipping is kind of high, so I wait for my list to get long and then place an order. The chamomile tea is amazing and I put it in smoothies (just throw the flowers in) for my daughter.

I've been looking at some of the links from PP and it looks like the prices are still pretty high or even higher than Teavana.

I came across Davidson's Teas from Amazon, with free Prime shipping. Most of them seem to be well under $20 for 16oz.

I have not tried these so have no idea their quality but the prices seem low enough I might try some of them out. I was mainly looking for Rooibos/Herbals (non-caffeinated) teas.

I ordered Harney and Sons tea for my Mom for Mother's Day. She gave me a few to try and WOW, best tea I have ever had hands down. Now I did only sachets and tea bags but the sachets smell amazing. It is the freshest tea I've ever tasted. Haven't tried the loose tea but I bet it's good. Barnes and Noble carries some of their varieties but I think it might only be tea bags. But I would recommend H&S!

I've bought from ESP Emporium http://www.espemporium.com/ - originally it was through a plum steals/groupon/living social type deal. I've been pleased with their teas & pricing. I get their emails and they have sales/specials quite often - and free shipping at $45.

I love Rooibus tea and they have a great selection of flavors.

I buy from there too. I've been really happy with all the teas I've bought which would be everything but chai. I've gotten some fantastic custom blends from there too. One was a customer made recipe that tasted just like Girl Scout thin mint cookies. Yum!
