We have a 12in deep cabinet in the kitchen I'd like to use for the kid's craft stuff like paper/crayons/markers/pencils/glue sticks/etc., etc..

I bought these from Target and they are too deep. I could use them sideways but I want to label them so everyone knows what goes where and there can be NO question of where things should be put away.

Then I found these at the Container Store. Perfect, but they are $17.99 EACH.

So... any chance of finding something like this for less?

What if you did a smaller sterilite bin for all the supplies and use a "paper tray" on top of that for the paper. You could probably fit 2 of the smaller sterilite bins next to one another and put the tray on top. Not sure the dimensions length wise of your cabinet.

Another option if you're okay w/ containers are those $1 store shoe boxes (w/ lids) from the 1 store. then you could label the outside of the boxes.

We use this series: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-2.7-Quart-Latch-Box-Set-of-6/20699631?findingMethod=rr.

I get them at Walmart for $2-$5 each. We have some for papers, smaller ones for makers/crayons, glue, dot paint. They are modular and stack nicely.

We use these. They are a little more expensive than some of the options, but for the price you get 6 and I found them worth the cost. I'm not sure about the exact measurements but they are just larger than a standard piece of paper so I think it will fit well in your space.

That could work, but I feel like we have more than the smaller sterilite ones could hold. Like I'd have to do multiple drawers for markers. I think I need to evaluate what we have.

I looked at those too, but I didn't want lids. I may have to do this though!

I actually looked at these and they won't fit, they'd have to be sideways.

Have you tried Michael's or any type of craft store? I feel like they have some good paper storage options and there are always coupons floating around.

Joanns had single drawers when I was there yesterday sterilight I think. Also ikea has something similar to the container store one.

I will definitely check Joanne's/Michael's, both great ideas.

The nearest Ikea is like an hour away, so I'd have to really want something there. ;)

Did you find anything similar at Joann's/ Michael's? I was also looking at those container store drawers and balking at the price. We only have two drawers built into out entire rental house

Joann's did have some, but they were too big for my odd space. I could go max depth 12in (including any type of handle) and these were like 12 1/2 or 3/4. Something that made it unworkable! ;)I didn't make it to Michael's yet.
