Framing?

Hello,
I have an 18x24 signed print that I'd like to frame. I took it to Michaels today with their 60% off sale and was shocked that the price quoted ended up around $250. I liked the ideas for matting, but just don't have tht kind of money to spend on framing.

Any suggestions? Is Michaels typically high on this type of thing? I was really shocked by the price. I want to frame it so it preserves the print.

I just had a picture that size framed at Michael and it was about $180 I think so $250 sounds high. Michaels have different levels so maybe you picked a higher end frame? They also have different options for the glass.

Did you pick top of the line options?

Alternatively you can buy an off the shelf rack that's the right size and have Michaels do custom matting and mount. That would be a lot cheaper since the wooden frame is the most expensive

Custom framing is expensive. I compared pricing at Aaron brothers and they were about the same
