I bought a 16in Go-Glider balance bike for my DD1 a couple of years ago when she was 5. She has never shown any interest in it. I've held on to it though. I now have a 3.5 year old, and would like to get a balance bike for her as well. The Go-Glider bike I have is just too big for her, so I need to get a new one for her. She's average height and weight for a 3.5 year old. I would prefer not to break the bank with it! Suggestions?

There is this one for sale (not near me though - would be a 2 hour drive round trip)....worth it? http://houston.craigslist.org/bik/3868440858.html

We have 2 - a Like A Bike (which is $$) but we love it, and a Smart Gear wood one at Grandma & Grandpa's (got it on one of those Barnes and Noble online deals). Both are good bikes and would be a good fit for a 3.5-year-old. I don't think I'd drive 2 hours to get one for $55 - I paid less than that for the Smart Gear new.

We have a Wee Ride from Walmart. $30. Used it with both DDs and it's been great. Both started using it at 2yo. DD2 is 3.5 and is loving it this summer, her second yr using it.

Love our Strider!! Had it for almost 5 years and still looks great. My 6 year old still rides it for fun (he can ride a reg bike).

We also love our Strider, supper sturdy but light enough for DC to carry it, good for small kids and bigger kids.

Love our strider. DS (almost 4) is an expert. When the neighbor kids come over (4.5 and 6.5), there's lots of fighting over who gets to ride it. I even caught my 7 year old on it the other day.
