Baked beans...homemade recipe needed

My friend makes the best baked beans, and it is an Emeril Lagasse recipe. Can't link off my phone, but it should come up in a google search. So good, sweet and spicy!

i've made the ones in 'cooks illustrated' a couple of times. they are really good, but i couldn't tell a difference in them & in doctoring up canned ones with extra mustard & molasses & sauteed onions, so i just went back to doing that.

We make a recipe from the Dinosaur BBQ cookbook (NY restaurant) and omg they are to die for. We get asked for the recipe anywhere we bring them.
