How do you know when they're ready to potty train?

I haven't tried at all. I feel like the summer may be harder since we're out more, idk. The other day she told me she pooped. She also takes her diaper off if it's too wet but idk if these are signs of readiness.

Yeah, those are both signs of readiness. I liked the "oh crap" method. Fwiw imo summer is easier because there are less layers of clothes to remove and it's easier to clean up messes in the yard compared to inside.
