I bought two coach purses online and now can't decide on which color to keep. I have a black winter coat and green spring/fall coats if that matters. The bright color is called punch and it is pretty much like a raspberry color. I am leaning towards this color, but could I carry it year round? I like the brown (cognac I believe) in the photo better than in person. It kind of looks "old ladyish: to me for some weird reason... WDYT?

Cognac so it can hold up over time...unless you don't really care if it might not be on trend later (you'd pick raspberry even if colors weren't as in). I'm a sucker for a nice, classic brown though.

Do you use a brown purse with a black jacket?

I vote the brown too! And I think this lighter brown (cognac/camel brown) looks great paired with black :)

I vote for the punch color. I just bought a purse in a similar color. I have no idea if I'll use it year round, but the answer is probably yes. But I tend to buy purses I love vs. purses that go perfectly with my wardrobe...

Cognac/brown as well. Very nice.

The punch is very pretty. It could definitely be year round.

I love the punch. I just feels more fun and special to me than the brown.

I'd go with the punch too...although I do love a cognac colored bag.

My go-to bag right now is the Coach Legacy mini duffle in carnelian red (which I bought this spring)...but lately I have been alternating it with a "vintage" Coach cognac-colored bag that was stashed away in the back of my closet for the past decade.

I would go with cognac. The punch is honestly a little too pink for me. If it were more of an orange red it would be perfect.

I have a very similar Coach purse in a color called "jade". It is a bright jade, and makes me happy every time I look at it. However, when I first bought it at the tail end of winter I definitely felt it was a bit springy. the cognac would be beautiful during the winter and is very classic.

Can you keep both? Lol, not much help, am I?

Punch! LOVE IT! The cognac will wear nice over time but it's too normal.

I love the punch color. It think it would look great with both the green and black coats.

Why not get a fun color that makes you happy. It's much more memorable too. You'll be the girl with the pink bag!

I'm not a big pink person and I'd pick the punch!

I recently bought a pink bag and I am loving it...and I'm so not a pink person in general. And I've gotten a ton of compliments. IME, I get bored of bags before the color goes out of style, so from now on I plan to buy colors rather than being conservative.

Insert Yeah that smilie since I do not know how to do that on this new board and I don't have the time for a tutorial!

I think what's holding me up on the punch is that its a Coach bag. I'm basing my opinion on my budget. I won't be buying multiple Coach bags so I want one that will hold up longest over time. I'm all for hitting TJ Maxx for random fun bags though. But, I don't know OP's budget or how she prioritized things.

thanks for the opinions, but I decided that I will return both because If I am going to be spending $$ for a purse I should get one that I can use year round and not tire of... So - back to the drawing board!
