Snap 4 Bumper Bar

Every time my kids lean, and pull a bit on the bar, the foam goes off the metal, since it has a split along its length. It's covered with material, but I have to navigate it back on the metal bar.
Does anyone else have this issue? It's really annoying to do several times a day.
