Amazon has the black britax bassinet for $108 right now. I was thinking about getting it for my bee. I have until late October to make this purchase but if this is a good price, I want to get it now. Thanks!

I saw some on Ebay yesterday for $75 from seller BabySurplus which is supposedly Albee Baby.

Thanks! I never use Ebay. Does that mean that they are used? DH won't buy used.

No, lots of retailers (like Albee Baby) sell open box, returns or just extra inventory on Ebay. The ones I saw yesterday had very specific notes about the condition.

I paid $112 on Amazon for ours and saw that it went up to $140 at some point, so $108 sounds good to me. The eBay deal is probably worth checking out, though!

I did check out eBay. Today they were $90 plus $15 shipping so I just bought the amazon one because I was afraid the price would go up. It was prime. I can always return if I see a better deal.

Do we know which bassinet works better for the Bee (the toro bassinet or the britax)?

I can't buy a new toro here so not something for me to look at.

I don't know that one is better than the other necessarily. They both fit though. I know that Britax one is pretty big so you may just have to see if you comfortable with it from a safety standpoint.

I'm really excited to see IRL pictures of the britax bassinet on the bee. I think the bee is an excellent all-round stroller but the missing proper bassinet is a key turn off. Ready for pics OP, whenever you're ready!

Here are some pics. This isn't my Bee but these were posted on a Swap group. Removed child's face for privacy.

Another thing you can do is use the Britax bassinet on the BOB with the car seat adapter too. Pretty awesome!

The Britax bassinet fits on the Bee??? Sheesh! Where have I been? That would have saved me so much time hunting down a Toro bassinet, (which I finally found). The Britax bassinet is definitely bigger than the Toro bassinet, (my friend has a Britax). She lives a few hours from me, but the next time we're together I'll take comparison shots. :)

Hahaha I know. I would have never thought of this but someone else did! They also used it on the BOB. Basically you could use it on any stroller with Britax car seat adapters.

Here are a couple of pics, (pulled off the web), of the Toro carrycot on a Bee. (I can take pictures after my adapters arrive later today.)

Comparison with Toro carrycot on left and Britax on right:

Thank you for the pics! The Toro certainly is shorter than the Britax bassinet. However they are both low to the ground so it should help stability. Does the Britax fit securely with the car seat adaptor? Is it completely flat or at a slight angle?

Hopefully someone can answer your questions about the Britax bassinet on the Bee.

I looked up the dimensions of the Britax carrycot and measured my Toro carrycot:

Toro: 29 x 14 x 8.5
Britax: 33 x 18 x 7.6

I'm going to ask my friend if she'll measure her Britax for verification, (or if someone here has one they can measure, that would be great). If the measurements I have for the Britax are accurate, then it is 4" longer and 4" wider, which is pretty significant. Unless it's awful to push the stroller, (or wobbly/unsafe), I think I'd prefer the extra space that the Britax gives. (I'm trying not to be too bummed right now.) ;)

I couldn't tell you anything about it from experience as I don't have the bassinet. I guess we'll have to wait for the OP to get hers!

OP, I hope it comes today! I'm also due in late October, so we must be close in our pregnancies. :) Do you already have the car seat adapters, or will you have to buy them? My adapters will be here today, so I'll be able to take my own pics. Maybe we can try taking "same angle" pics of our bassinets on our Bee frames for people to compare?

The bassinet arrived but the adapters did not. Grrrr. I hope they come tomorrow so I can put it all together during Sunday nap time. I am due mid-November but DD1 came a few weeks early so I am prepared for late October.

Ugh on the adapters not arriving! I'm due October 25th, but I'm typically late. ;)

I like how the britax bassinet seems to sit in the stroller more so than the toro that seems to sit up high above it. Maybe it's just me but the britax looks like it would be more stable.

OP, I hope you don't mind, but I think I'll start a new thread for our Toro and Britax carrycot comparisons. It will make it easier for people to find in the future. :)

Oh good, thank you. Here's a link to the new thread: http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?462682-Carrycot-(bassinet)-solutions-for-Bugaboo-Bee-(Plus)&p=3829448#post3829448

Please share pictures, info and impressions after your adapters arrive. Together we can help lots of mamas. ;)

I have the Britax bassinet and adapters for my versa and love it. It's a super nice large bassinet and fits securely with the adapters. We use it almost daily.

thanks for the pics...that looks great. is there a reason you went with the britax vs the baby jogger bassinet?

I think it was because she already had the Britax car seat adapters and the Britax bassinet is cheaper than the Baby Jogger one.

I had the bassinet already since I sold our b-ready to buy the versa (didn't need a double). The adapters were only twenty. I like how it looks better also. It might be a bit bigger?

Oh my...you just made me want another baby. I pink sparkly heart my Versa already but seeing it with the bassinet made me love it even more.
