I'm seriously addicted to coconut yougurt so I want to make my own and not go on tossing so much plastic into the trash. All I can find is dehydrated coconut in a bag. Does liquid, shredded coconut in a jar or can even exist? Thanks so much!

Indian food stores with frozen food items should carry it. It is used in south indian cooking.

Yes - what lkoala said. Indian grocery stores carry frozen "fresh" coconut!

You can find frozen sometimes in regular grocery stores too. It's in with the fruit and dessert-y items. I'm not a Wal-Mart fan, but this was the first place I saw a pic online:

My grandmother bought it for ambrosia and coconut cake. :)
