With the heat upon us we have week going to the lake a lot and then jumping in the car to go home. Needless to say the bathing suits are wet and we need a solution fast. We have been sitting on towels but that us not ideal. Any suggestions? We have just graco booster and also looking for adults.

I usually have my kids change into dry clothes (in the car if there's nowhere else to do it) before going home. I guess grown ups could do the same, even if it's just changing bottoms. I don't know if one of those protector mats to use under car seats would work: like this http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-77640-Duomat/dp/B008J3UD2U/ref=sr_1_5?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1373997496&sr=1-5&keywords=car+seat+protector

We change clothes, too....often in the car. I always have a coverup that I can just slip my wet suit off underneath while in the car. If I can't for some reason I put towels underneath me. If I were in DH's car with leather seats, I'd just be sure to dry the seat, but we only have a 5 min drive home.

the boys often wear little more than a diaper/shorts home, so it is a quick change out of wet clothes.

So far we have just been riding home in wet suits... It's like a 4 minute ride and I figure with it bring so hot out the car seats probably dry super fast in the hot car.

I put Dd in a terry cloth coverup. I sit on a spare towel.

I sit on a towel...OP I hope you meant towel instead of bowel, although I think they are both accurate :ROTFLMAO:

This question came up recently in a discussion between local runners. Someone suggested a seat shield from this website: http://www.seatshield.com/product_info.php?pName=allsport-seatshield&cName=seat-covers&osCsid=571268ac00770199c48b402e5585b018

Another suggestion was to use foil blankets like these: http://www.amazon.com/Emergency-Mylar-Thermal-Blankets-Pack/dp/B000GCRWCG/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374007761&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=foil+marathon+blanket

HTHs.
