We just got back from a long weekend at the Colony hotel in Kennbunkport. We LOVED it. They have a little private beach where the kids ran around, splashed and collected beautiful rocks. They also have a salt water pool overlooking the ocean. Our kids are really little, but they have lots of activities for older kids too - golf, yoga, etc. HIGHLY recommend it. Oh, and their rooms are large, so if you get a room with two double beds, you can all easily fit! We got a room without AC or TV (less expensive) and we were very comfortable with the windows open at night and fans running.
ETA the town of Kennebunk is very cutesy. Lots of little fishing boats and little stores with sea-themed stuff, restaurants with fresh seafood (lobster rolls, yum!) Ogunquit is also a short drive away - we didn't spend any time there but drove through and it was really pretty.
