Anyone want to dress my husband for this wedding reception?

We have a wedding reception to attend (no wedding....couple had a destination wedding) and the invite says "Island attire welcome". It is in the evening, at a winery, so I'm guessing indoor/outdoor/semicasual vs. formal. I will be wearing a maxi dress. What should he wear? I think I want something a step up in dressiness from a crazy Hawaiian shirt, but have no idea what that would be. Thoughts?

What about a white or pale blue linen or cotton button down, with the sleeves rolled up, without a tie or top button buttoned, and khakis. Do you want him to wear shorts? He could wear bermuda length tan or khaki shorts with a button-down.

I agree with boolady. Solid color linen shirt and khakis or linen pants.
