DH Shoe Question - What Shoes Does Your DH Wear for Casual Date Night

Long sleeve shirt, sleeves rolled, and shorts seems to be the on trend uniform for men these days. What shoes with that? DH has done flip flops or converse.

My DH wears leather flip flops if he is casual or occasionally boat shoes (which sounds really dorky when I write it, but actually looks good) with no socks.

Leather Tevas or tennis shoes.

Cole Hahn boat shoes, driving mocs, leather flip flops, or Ralph Lauren tennis shoes with the "no show" footie socks.

One of DH's friends wears that ensemble with the low cut "no lace" Converse Chuck Taylors in suede (they might even be from the semi-custom line that they did), but he's a more fashion forward guy, e.g. his long sleeeve shirt probably is either Robert Graham or some linen number he got at Nordies.

I should clarify though, that my own DH would be wearing flip flops. But I feel like boat shoes are better with the outfit you are describing- it is what my brother would wear.

We don't have many casual date nights (or any kind of date nights!) but DH almost always wears Doc Martens.

Same here but when we go to dinner WITH the kids who think that is a date....he is in camo shorts (it must be a so cal thing) and Olukai flip flops or Olukai sneakers.

For a casual night out with shorts, DH would probably wear his leather Teva sandals or his woven Tommy Bahama loafers. With jeans, he'd probably wear cowboy boots (he had several paris...I call him Imelda).
