I am looking for some kind of large, insulated lunch container (think rice, pasta, etc) that keeps food hot, but is larger sized and wide at the top (as opposed to deep and narrow, like most Thermos that hold soup). So when you can open it, you can easily eat out of it like wide top tupperware, but insulated.

Is there any kind of food container that keeps food hot from the morning until lunchtime, but for adults that is larger, and wide on top? Like a giant, wider version of a Lunchbot?

Thanks for any tips.

Are the Thermos food jars (http://www.thermos.com/product_catalog.aspx?CatCode=FOOD) still too tall and narrow for what you're looking for? We have one of the Foogo ones for my oldest kid, and it works well for pasta/rice/casseroles.

The Thermos ones are a little too small or too narrow/tall. Would prefer something more shallow and wide mouth. But not sure if there is such a container.

I have one that sounds exactly like that. It's made by Aladdin. It also has an insert that allows you to divide the space into two halves. I got it at Target a few years ago, so I'm not sure if it's still available.

Here it is. Not great reviews. I don't use it very often so I can't say how well it works. Just occasionally when I need to transport the right sort of food for my food allergic DS. For example, mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner.

I've seen some at 99 Ranch Market Asian grocery store in CA. Is there one by you?

Thanks for posting ideas. I will look into all. I do have a Ranch 99 near me, so I can check out there too.

Thanks!
