Road trip breaks on I-95 North Carolina

Hello! Does anyone have suggestions for a good place to stop for an hour or 2 on I-95 in North Carolina? We will be traveling from Hilton Head Island to Richmond or further (first night's stop on a road trip to NY). My husband and I have a 3 year old and a very active 9 month old. Even a big indoor mall close to I 95 would be ok. We aren't interested in stopping at South of the Border.
