Can I wear this to a wedding in the NE?

We are going to a wedding shortly in the NE and I am 6 weeks past delivery so not fitting into anything I own except one dress which is black. The wedding is at 2 pm and the reception at 6 pm. We are just going to the reception. Can I wear a black dress in the summer? Should I add color somehow? Also I am white as a ghost... should I wear hose? I'm sure I sound like a fashion idiot and at this point in my life I guess I am. All I've been wearing are cotton tanks and yoga capris since DS has major reflux. thanks for any input.

Great thanks for the feedback!! Want to accessorize me? Any suggestions on jewelry or shoes or even where you would look? Shoes might be hard because my feet are wide and it seems impossible to find cute shoes in my size.

My computer is acting up sp no more shopping. But, take a look at Kohl's and Macy's. I think a pendant necklace that can fit right in that v-neck would work well. If you go big with the necklace, do something like diamond (or faux) studs since it's a daytime wedding.
