My favorite time of the year - partly due to my addiction to fall clothes!

Let's share our finds here and enable some serious fall shopping.

So, without further ado, here is my first fall find:

I just ordered this sweater and cannot wait to wear it with jeans and leggings and tall boots.

It wasn't part of Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale last year, despite my hopes, and I've never found it marked down anywhere, and just wasn't in the budget. So imagine my happy, happy surprise when this new beauty was included in this year's AS. (already sold out on Nordstrom's site, so here's the Dooney link).

I am sure you have already seen them but the Frye Veronica short boots have a moto look to them and they are $199 at the Anniversary sale.

Well, not nearly as fashionable as some of you all, but I just ordered a few things from Eddie Bauer's clearance page. I have good luck with their jeans fitting my big thighs. I ordered a long sleeve pull over sweater, a short sleeve cardigan, a long sleeve t-shirt and a pair of lightweight jeans (Fall is relatively warm here).

I will add links. (ETA. My total was around $86 including taxes and shipping.)

Just two more things on my list: a pair of comfortable slides/mules/clogs and a really warm long coat. The coat can wait until things go on sale as I won't need it weather wise until December. Suggestions on those items welcome.

I just discovered Liverpool jeans and bought the Rita Bootcut (http://www.liverpooljeans.com/fit/boot/rita-bootcut-lisbon). I haven't washed/worn them yet so I don't know if they stretch out terribly. I'll have to report back after I wear them. Do you have it yet? Do you think it would work with a pregnant belly if I got a white maternity shirt and wore that open or would it look goofy? I was going to go see if I could still order one and then I remembered I'm pregnant.. Duh.

My order finally arrived. The purple short sleeve cardigan is my favorite item. It has taupe buttons, which would not be my first choice, but whatever. The color is very pretty and good for fall, IMO. The length is good on me, long enough that it goes past the widest part of my thighs. I got a medium, which is my usual size and it fits correctly. I think it would be cute open over preggo belly.

The jeans are a bust. The stitching on the front pockets is super unflattering. So bad that I don't even turn around to see how the butt looks and they are already packed up for return.

The pale blue sweater is fine. Nothing special, but a decent basic sweater. I bought a large because the reviews said it was fitted and I was hoping for something a bit slouchy. The fit is fine, though the sleeves are actually a bit long--unusual for me since I am 5'7".

The tourquise long sleeve t-shirt is also fine. A very pretty color. The fit is kind of boxy, but I was hoping for something pretty relaxed so I'm fine with it.

I really like trouser jeans. But I can't wear skinnies and trouser jeans look good on me. So YMMV. I don't think they are the height of fashion right now, but jeans are one area where I have learned to let go of being on trend and instead stay with what actually looks good on me.

I think trouser jeans are particularly nice with a tucked in button down and a belt--it's a polished look.

My only problem was the color. It is a nice rich wine color...but it is almost identical to another pair of skinny jeans I bought at Uniqlo last fall. I have a tendency to be drawn to the same things year after year...which is why I have so many shades of nearly the same pinky beige nail polish. So I just reordered the jeans in the Chocolate Brown (with the 40% off "friends" discount), and I will probably return the dark red.

There is a link to sign up for emails on the main gap page. Maybe try giving them a different email if it says you're signed up already- or call and give customer service heck. They would pee in their pants to get your email address for sure! There is a current extra 25% code when you give up your email address to them, that was stacking with the previous 40% code.... not sure if it still is.

The online code is single use, person specific. In store you are supposed to bring the email, but you might get the SA to just use the code for you "Silver40" with your silver card. Good multi use through sunday.

It seems Gap has had a 40% code for silver members 3 weekends out of 4 the last month or so. It's crazy to spend full price there.

Our store had signs up about the discount. Just check your receipt to make sure you got the discount because my cashier forgot or the system glitched and they had to fix it.

fedoragirl, I was at Nordstrom Rack a few nights ago, and they had tons of leather moto jackets on racks in the front of the store (between the entrance and registers)- try checking there if you have a NR nearby. I think they were all $200 or less; one I really liked but can't really justify as a SAHM was $120. :) Very cute and nice, soft leather; different color/ shade choices, too.

Also a pair of brown riding boots (I've been wanting a pair for a couple of years now). They're Clarks brand, called "Mullin Spice." The Clarks store (and most places online) had them for $299, but I got them on Amazon for $170, I think. :thumbsup: They also come in black, and I like that they're adjustable at the top, so they can be made looser for pants or tighter over tights.

I agree that dress is TDF, but the only way I'd be getting it is if the decimal point were moved over a space to the left.

I have been on a hunt for a pair of camo print jeans. I ordered pairs from Gap and Banana (and tried a pair from Old Navy last season as well)...but all the ones I found previously were a little too muted green for me, so I returned them. I wanted pants with a bit more contrast and some black in them, and these fit the bill...and the length was perfect (not slightly cropped as shown, but full-length on my stubby legs). I hadn't shopped at Express for a while (I worked at one in college, but that was more than 20 years ago) but they actually had some nice things that didn't seem too young for a middle aged mom such as myself.
