ISO Outdoor fun without big investment

I'm looking for some sort of structure or toy to entertain the boys in the backyard. We have an All Sports climber that they still use, but only holds their attention for short periods. They are very wild and energetic in the backyard and spend most of their time hitting trees and each other with plastic bats and golf clubs. I'd love to get them a swing set/climber, but we are hoping to move in 2 years. I don't want to put money or the time it takes to build into a set.

What keeps your preschool age kids occupied?

Not really a play structure, but here are some of the things DS enjoys doing in our yard .
-sandbox
-digging in the dirt
-batting tee and wiffle balls
-Little Tikes playhouse
-golf clubs and balls
