I had never worn cross body style bags until last year when I got one for Disney. I was surprised how much I liked it! The bag I got was from REI and is a very casual/sporty nylon style. I still use it often for kid activities, the park, etc.

I would love to ask for a slightly dressier, more stylish cross body for my upcoming birthday. Something that I could still use for errands and stuff, but would also work for out to dinner, date night, girls night kind of things. I want something kind of medium sized. Big enough to hold my Coach wallet (full size), phone, tissues, hand wipes, small notebook and maybe a few items for kids (little snacks, pack of crayons). I don't need to carry diapers or extra clothes. I'd like a neutral color and to keep it under $200ish.

Any recommendations of a cross body you love or places to look?

The Coach Factory Outlet online has cross body purses for $55 right now. Not sure if this link will work because you need to sign in to shop there, but, here goes:

I like my Marc Jacobs mini Natasha. I carry a full size wallet, kleenex, keys and a few matchbox cars in the main compartment. The back zip pocket is good for wet wipes, hand sanitizer, and a sunblock stick.

Check out MZ Wallace bags. They are expensive but stylish and functional I use mine exactly as you describe.

I have a baggallini that I adore. It's a limited edition of the city bagg that I found at tjmaxx for $30. It's a medium gray nylon that really dresses up or down. My former coach wristlet fit fine.

I've also seen them on Sierra trading post and other ebags. I got a paprika one and a yellow one 2 years ago.

I have the Mara from Hobo, and I love it. It is pretty small, basically a clutch that you can carry as a cross body purse.
