I've been thinking about getting an embroidery machine so I can personalize stuff for DS as well as make stuff for friends that are having babies.
It seems that the most popular beginner's model is the Brother SE 400 (http://www.amazon.com/Brother-SE400-Combination-Computerized-Embroidery/dp/B003AVMZA4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1375880807&sr=8-2&keywords=brother+embroidery+machine)combo sewing/embroidery.
I doubt that I'll be doing very large and complicated projects in the future, is this machine enough for a novice crafter?
