I'll be well into my second trimester for two formal events, a formal wedding reception in November and then my husband's company's Christmas party during early December... an event which is pretty swanky and everyone always gets pretty dressed up for. Not like, ballgown dressed up for but everyone is in very nice cocktail dresses, jewelry, pretty shoes and hair and make-up done and so on.

So far I've been looking through maternity clothes and a lot are either matronly or cutesy when it comes to dresses. Can anyone recommend a dress they liked/wore or a company they bought nice, more formal maternity dresses from?

I think the youtube video was unintentional but I was rolling through the whole thing and even DH laughed at some of the lines!

I'll be sure to check out ATL, I didn't realize they did maternity :38:

I have a couple dresses from kohls and gap that with the right accessories can be dressed up. Some are faux wrap dresses. I have two weddings in my 3rd trimester and plan to use accessories to dress up.

I wore a satin maxi-dress by Ripe maternity to my brother's wedding when I was 32 weeks with DD; I bought it from Nordstrom, but it was offered online only.

Here's their "evening wear" line:

Boden has some beautiful maternity options that could be dressed up or down:

Feeling the need to redeem myself after accidentally posting that mompetitors video (meant as comic relief for the heated breastfeeding thread, and I was on my ipad and messed up).

This is really pretty:

I think the Seraphine dresses that Duchess Kate has been wearing look beautiful and definitely could be dressed up with accessories. I wish I had known about the brand earlier in my pregnancy.
