Please help...I need to buy my 4 year old boy new socks with grippers on the bottom. I used to buy from Gap, but it seems like those have holes in them right away anymore.

Anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks,
Jennifer

We like the ones from Crazy 8.

I think Carter's socks still have grippers in 2t-4t sizes.

Another vote for Crazy 8's. they hold up pretty well. I just bought some Puff Paint to make regular socks non-slip or to use when the non-slip has worn off. I haven't tried it yet though.

The Children's Place. Old Navy also has them, but I think TCP hold up better.

Do the Crazy 8's have grippers on them?

The Crazy 8's do have grippers on them. We buy the 3 pack, seem to hold up better than the single pairs.

I always loved TCP socks with the grippers.

I didn't think TCP has gripper socks larger than 2-3 years, at least not on their website. The big boys section doesn't seem to have them either.

We have a ton of the Old Navy triple roll socks and I know that the 4T-5T size have grippers on them because DD refuses to wear them for that reason. She likes to slide on the hardwood floors and they keep her from doing it!

We have TCP gripper socks in size 3-4 years that wear incredibly well and are quite large. My almost 5 year old will be able to wear them for a couple of years yet, I think, and he's a size 10.5-11 shoe. I noticed the other day that he was wearing 12-24 month size socks from TCP! I guess I saved them for DD, and they made it into DS's drawer instead. They seemed not to be ridiculously tiny.

Yup another vote for the ON. $1 buck-ish socks! Hold up just fine for us.

However, DD is not liking the bumpiness at age 6 now...she is more aware of it in her shoes. We need them tho a home b of slippery tile!

I just picked up few pairs for DD at ON in size 4/5T, we never had an issue with them not holding up, the last 'stock' she wore through the winter and spring and just outgrowing them now. Those are the triple roll ones in solid colors. Also, you can make your own grippers using the fabric paints from Michaels, we did it before and you end up with the same rubbery grip.
