Amazon has certain car seats on sale, and you can get an extra 20% off [code BABY0913] if you are an Amazon Mom with Prime member. The event runs from 8/28-9/14.

We scored a Britax Pinnacle 90 (combination FF car seat / booster) for $208 before tax. We were not Prime members but we were eligible for a 2d 30-day trial so we jumped at it. We had to wait 24 hours after activating the trial to use the code, which turned out to be a good thing because the price dropped another $8 while we were waiting. The Pinnacle is at its current lowest price right now, according to camelcamelcamel.com. It's $259 before the 20% off. Retail is $369.

Other discounted seats: the Frontier 90, Boulevard, Advocate, Parkway, Pavilion, ProRide, Radian RXT, others... Find the list here (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=s9_dnav_bw_ir02_s?node=165796011,!165797011,16 6835011&page=1&srs=7322973011&bbn=165797011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=carseatorg-20&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-4&pf_rd_r=0Q3507FVAB2SVTN8F1YQ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1607627882&pf_rd_i=7322973011).

This is part of their Mom Appreciation Event. I've been an Amazon mom for a while but never paid attention to these events until I was shopping for car seats and found this post (http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=254391) on another forum. There are other items too - carriers, strollers, gear, furniture, etc. If you are not eligible for a trial, I think students (with an .edu email address) can get Prime for $39 instead of $79.

Glhf!

Zebra print Frontier 90 is at $227.99. The Biscuit is 2, 36 inches, 35 pounds. The RA55 is being turned this weekend in DH's car, but he still will be RF in the Radian in my car for some time.

Should I buy? Or wait?

I took advantage of this for the second car and got the Britax Frontier 90 which came to $197.00 after the Amamzon Mom extra 20% off. I did a lot of research on this a year ago and the lowest I was able to find was on an open box version through Wayfair that came to $192.00 so i think that $197 with free 2 day shipping is awesome!

If you don't think you'll need the seat in the next few months, I would wait. Opportunity cost of money and all that. It seems like the Mom Appreciation Event happens twice a year? But then again, I saw a thread on the forum from March, and people said the Frontier wasn't included at that time.

I am soo tempted by the Parkway SGL, but really until my DD2 outgrows her RA55 I won't need another seat (DD1 would go to the Parkway and DD2 to the Frontier 80). We are also hoping that DD2 makes it to 5 in the BLVD because I don't want to buy another Frontier (although I do love that fuschia/black Pinnacle 90). If I want to spend $200 on a seat I am getting a Kiddy or Peg Perego booster.

Bumping this. Tomorrow is the last day to use the 20% off code. Car seats are still on sale.

If you don't currently have prime, just a reminder there's a 24 hour wait before you can use the code (i.e. sign up for a trial today, can't order until tomorrow).

Happy Bargain Shopping!

ETA: Our Pinnacle came within 2 days of our order of course, and DH absolutely loved the clicktight install. DS seems to like the seat, as he can buckle himself in by himself. I didn't think much of the cup holders, but I asked DH to install the seat in the middle, so I'm appreciating the cup holders now. So we're happy all around. :)

I wish the Parkway SGL was part of the sale.

I agree.... I found it for slightly less at diapers.com compared to the Amazon price, but still not as good as if we could use the Amazon coupon.

I'm so tempted by the Frontier 90 for my 2.5 yo but we won't need it until probably next spring when we can pass down her Boulevard to the baby. There will be more sales so I'm going to wait on it. I would rather have one with a newer manufacturing date.

What is the difference between the SG on sale and the SGL? We need another booster for DH's car and have been debating between the Frontier 90 and Parkway for my 5 year old.

The SGL has latch (so you don't have to remember to buckle in the booster when empty to keep it from being a projectile).
