ISO deal on a vacuum cleaner

Does anyone know of a decent deal on a vacuum cleaner? I don't need anything too fancy - I don't have carpet, but I have enough area rugs that my little hand held thing just isn't cutting it anymore.

Our Target had three Dyson DC33 vacuums on an end cap for $350. Kinda thinking about breaking our current vacuum just so I have a reason to go back for one!

We have had a hoover thats about 3 ish years old. Its suction power is so bad- I can see the dirt it doesnt pick up.

Is Dyson worth all its money? Which model? Our house is mostly hardwood + some carpet. My criteria is that it is light weight ( i have back issues), so I dont have to nag DH to clean..
