Pet memorial question

The weathered wooden plaques we have aren't cutting it anymore. I don't want something that looks like a headstone nor am I interested in the sleeping winged animal sculptures. They just break my heart when I see them and I want something simple with their names.

I can't answer your question about the marker; but, my mother works at a pet cemetery and they use little marble slabs w/engraved bronze sheets on top. Maybe you could have a small marble slab engraved?
