I'm debating which size to get for DS. He just turned 3 and is usually in 90th percentile (Currently 40" & 36 lbs). Any opinions as to which size chair to get for him? The regular vs oversized chair? Online the oversized chair looks more like love seat size to me.

Thank you

Definitely get the oversized. The is the perfect size for a young toddler (1-2 years).

We have the regular size and my 3 and 5 year old still fit fine and use them regularly. If space is an issue, I would go with the regular.

I would go with the regular. The oversized is such a floor space hog. Our 54 pound 49 inch tall DD has the regular. The oversized wasn't taller, just took up more space.

I agree with the regular. DS1 is 98%ile 2 and he sits very comfortably in it with room to grow. Actually, DH sits in it as a video game chair too every once in awhile. We need to get another chair for DS2. I would not want to mess with a bigger chair.

We have te regular size. DD1 is 3.5. 99th percentile in height and 75th for weight and has plenty of room. She and DD2 can both fit in it together at this point. My 6yo nephew still fits in it comfortably.

We have both (one of each); the oversized is taller, probably by three or four inches, the seat is higher by a few inches, in addition to being wider. We got the oversized with our kids were 1 and 3, already had the regular size. Even at those ages, they preferred the bigger chair, which is what I based my original response on. If space is an issue, definitely get the smaller one, but you will get more use out of the larger size.

Aside from the height and the footprint, is the seat itself larger in the oversized chair? I have the space for the oversized chair and was considering that so it would last longer... but is it actually larger in the seat itself?

Yes, by at least two or three inches in width.
