Etsy shipping question

If you order items from etsy from two different shops, does your shipping change? Or it the shipping calculated from each individual shop and therefore doesn't change when you order times from a different shop?

It's been a while since I ordered from etsy, but I believe each shop owner charges shipping. This may have changed, but I was quoted an item price and shipping charge from each seller since they ship their own goods.

Each shop charges their own shipping. The sellers are shipping the items themselves. Think of it the same way that you would if you won multiple eBay auctions.

Thanks! I was about to order 2 things for our house from 2 different stores, but one store went on vacation. I wasn't sure if there was any benefit of waiting til I could order both together. Sounds like not, so I will go ahead and order the one and order the 2nd when the shop is accepting orders again!
