Help with shoes/accessories for dress?

I'm going to a formal work function with DH in a few weeks. My dress is a cocktail dress in a deep purple color ("eggplant" to be exact). What color shoes would you go with? I have a pair of patent black peep toes that could be a possibility, but besides that would need to buy something.

Also will need a wrap or something as we will have to park and walk to the event and it will be chilly here at night. Think a black wrap will work ok?

I'm wearing an eggplant color dress to a wedding and I got s metallic shoe. You can wear black patent and if you do that a black wrap will be fine. I'm having that issue, too but since I'm not wearing a black shoe I don't want to introduce a third color.

I think black wrap and black shoes would be great. No hose though, especially w the peep toe shoes :)
