Gift ideas for almost 1 1/2 year old

We are looking for gift ideas for our almost 1 1/2 year old daughter. She has lots of riding / pushing toys and isn't too interested in them. She recently got her first doll. Looking for a nice gift maybe with some significance or something that will be special. Any ideas? TIA

An older gentleman approached me in a parking lot one day when our daughter was a baby and told me that we must celebrate her half birthdays. He went on to tell me the story of how he and his wife did this with their children and we think its a cute idea. We are getting her a half a cake and one nice present:)

1) Picture books. My daughter was so excited about talking, and just loved looking at pictures so she could learn new words. The DK Publishing books are fantastic. Mozart Music Cube. Both of my kids love it and it still gets played with nearly daily. I usually buy it for 1st birthday parties as it's something different than the usual. Great for kids who like music. It's also easier on the parent's ears than many "noisy" toys.
