View Full Version : Where can I find kids' swimsuits at this time of year?

I totally missed the boat on end of season swimsuit sales for kids - my kids have swim lessons practically year-round and their suits are really ratty (DD1) or almost outgrown (DD2) or both. So where can I find swim wear (tankinis usually) in size 8 and 4 (preferably on sale/marked down) at this time of year? Lands End is usually my go to, but they don't have any full sets in size 8. I took a quick look at Boden, Hanna and swimoutlet.com but didn't find anything that worked.
I'd love any other recommendations - thanks!

I wade going to write this exact same post last week. Yesterday I ended up ordering a suit from lands end with the 30% off F&F coupon. The regular suits are pretty picked over. But they do have some separates. I got a swim-team type suit for DD (7) which isn't cute, but it's practical and has great reviews.

ETa: my DD is size 8 too and the LE selection was slim.

A sporting good store will have them as well as a store that sells swim team gear.

But if you can hold off until December/January, stores will have them in stock again for winter vacations. :)

I looked at LE again and the problem is no size 8 bottoms except in Plus. Would size 10 be too giant for a 51 inch tall, 53 lbs kid? or 8Plus?

Also found some Speedo and Nike NWT suits on amazon and eBay (not cheap, alas) - I assume size 8 would work with these brands? Is one a lot better than the other? The Speedo tankinis (http://www.amazon.com/Speedo-Girls-Checks-Tankini-Splice/dp/B009TPKMV4/ref=sr_1_15?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1380133485&sr=1-15) look like the top doesn't meet the bottom, which is frustrating. Bummed I missed the LE deals!

Personally I would have her try some on. My DDs can wear a huge range of sizes depending on the brand and the cut of suit.

:yeahthat: Chez ami is my go to store for my girls' swim suits, other than their 1 piece swim team suits. When in doubt on sizing, size up. http://www.chezami.com/pa/exp.pa?file=home&pathcode=finaleshop&sessionid=3VZ1BGVSN05760

Super cute. I will have to show some of those to my DD1 who wants to start swimming year round.
