I have no idea why DH who is mostly the adjusting type, non-complaining type turns into goldilocks the moment his mom walks into the home. It seems he thinks it's macho or just has a slight sadistic tendency. Unfortutaely, for him, I think he is goldilocks!!

Lol, my dh is very similar. He helps out a lot at home, but when we go to mil's house, he acts like he is incapable of helping out (his mother never had them do any chores, so it's like he reverts back to that mode) and is pickier about this and that. I guess he reverts back to little boy mode or something.

Haha! My boyfriend is the opposite. Does nothing and complains about until someone comes over or we have a party then he's all smiles and pleasant and helpful.
