I want to get 1 or 2 lap desks as Christmas gifts. Can anyone recommend one that works well for the 7+ age group? I don't know if the back should be foam or bean bag or if it matters.

I like those. Can buy the same one in different colors for diferent kids- perfect.

Well, I think the bean bag ones work better personally. Older DD got one from Target for her birthday, but it was a seasonal thing in the back to school aisle.

We always buy from Barnes & Noble with a coupon. They have several different styles.
